Surah Al-Inshiqaq (الانشقاق)

Ayat 1–25

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتۡۙ ۝١

84:1When the heaven is split asunder

وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡۙ ۝٢

84:2And attentive to her Lord in fear,

وَاِذَا الۡاَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡؕ ۝٣

84:3And when the earth is spread out

وَاَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيۡهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡۙ ۝٤

84:4And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty

وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡؕ ۝٥

84:5And attentive to her Lord in fear!

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدۡحًا فَمُلٰقِيۡهِۚ ۝٦

84:6Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence).

فَاَمَّا مَنۡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِيَمِيۡنِهٖۙ ۝٧

84:7Then whoso is given his account in his right hand

فَسَوۡفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَّسِيۡرًاۙ ۝٨

84:8He truly will receive an easy reckoning

وَّيَنۡقَلِبُ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًاؕ ۝٩

84:9And will return unto his folk in joy.

وَاَمَّا مَنۡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهٖۙ ۝١٠

84:10But whoso is given his account behind his back,

فَسَوۡفَ يَدۡعُوۡا ثُبُوۡرًاۙ ۝١١

84:11He surely will invoke destruction

وَّيَصۡلٰى سَعِيۡرًاؕ ۝١٢

84:12And be thrown to scorching fire.

اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِىۡۤ اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًاؕ ۝١٣

84:13He verily lived joyous with his folk,

اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنۡ لَّنۡ يَّحُوۡرَۛۚ ۝١٤

84:14He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah).

بَلٰٓىۛۚ اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِيۡرًاؕ ۝١٥

84:15Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him!

فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِۙ ۝١٦

84:16Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset,

وَالَّيۡلِ وَمَا وَسَقَۙ ۝١٧

84:17And by the night and all that it enshroudeth,

وَالۡقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَۙ ۝١٨

84:18And by the moon when she is at the full,

لَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنۡ طَبَقٍؕ ۝١٩

84:19That ye shall journey on from plane to plane.

فَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَۙ ۝٢٠

84:20What aileth them, then, that they believe not

وَاِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡقُرۡاٰنُ لَا يَسۡجُدُوۡنَؕ۩ ۝٢١

84:21And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)?

بَلِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا يُكَذِّبُوۡنَۖ ۝٢٢

84:22Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny;

وَاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوۡعُوۡنَۖ ۝٢٣

84:23And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding.

فَبَشِّرۡهُمۡ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍۙ ۝٢٤

84:24So give them tidings of a painful doom,

اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُوۡنٍ ۝٢٥

84:25Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing.
