Surah At-Takwir, Ayah 13 (81:13)

وَاِذَا الۡجَـنَّةُ اُزۡلِفَتۡۙ ۝١٣

English translation (Pickthall)

And when the garden is brought nigh,

وَاِذَا الۡمَوۡءٗدَةُ سُٮِٕلَتۡۙ ۝٨

81:8And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked

بِاَىِّ ذَنۡۢـبٍ قُتِلَتۡۚ ۝٩

81:9For what sin she was slain,

وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتۡۙ ۝١٠

81:10And when the pages are laid open,

وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتۡۙ ۝١١

81:11And when the sky is torn away,

وَاِذَا الۡجَحِيۡمُ سُعِّرَتۡۙ ۝١٢

81:12And when Hell is lighted,

وَاِذَا الۡجَـنَّةُ اُزۡلِفَتۡۙ ۝١٣

81:13And when the garden is brought nigh,

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّاۤ اَحۡضَرَتۡؕ ۝١٤

81:14(Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready.

فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالۡخُنَّسِۙ ۝١٥

81:15Oh, but I call to witness the planets,

الۡجَوَارِ الۡكُنَّسِۙ ۝١٦

81:16The stars which rise and set,

وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا عَسۡعَسَۙ ۝١٧

81:17And the close of night,

وَالصُّبۡحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَۙ ۝١٨

81:18And the breath of morning

اِنَّهٗ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُوۡلٍ كَرِيۡمٍۙ ۝١٩

81:19That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger,

ذِىۡ قُوَّةٍ عِنۡدَ ذِى الۡعَرۡشِ مَكِيۡنٍۙ ۝٢٠

81:20Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne,

مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ اَمِيۡنٍؕ ۝٢١

81:21(One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy;

وَ مَا صَاحِبُكُمۡ بِمَجۡنُوۡنٍۚ ۝٢٢

81:22And your comrade is not mad.

وَلَقَدۡ رَاٰهُ بِالۡاُفُقِ الۡمُبِيۡنِۚ ۝٢٣

81:23Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon.

وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الۡغَيۡبِ بِضَنِيۡنٍۚ ۝٢٤

81:24And he is not avid of the Unseen.

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَيۡطٰنٍ رَّجِيۡمٍۙ ۝٢٥

81:25Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned.

فَاَيۡنَ تَذۡهَبُوۡنَؕ ۝٢٦

81:26Whither then go ye?

اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٌ لِّلۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ ۝٢٧

81:27This is naught else than a reminder unto creation,

لِمَنۡ شَآءَ مِنۡكُمۡ اَنۡ يَّسۡتَقِيۡمَؕ ۝٢٨

81:28Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight.

وَمَا تَشَآءُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۝٢٩

81:29And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation.

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتۡۙ ۝١

82:1When the heaven is cleft asunder,

وَاِذَا الۡكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتۡۙ ۝٢

82:2When the planets are dispersed,

وَاِذَا الۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡۙ ۝٣

82:3When the seas are poured forth,

وَاِذَا الۡقُبُوۡرُ بُعۡثِرَتۡۙ ۝٤

82:4And the sepulchres are overturned,

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَاَخَّرَتۡؕ ۝٥

82:5A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind.
