Surah Al-Maarij, Ayah 39 (70:39)

كَلَّا ؕ اِنَّا خَلَقۡنٰهُمۡ مِّمَّا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۝٣٩

English translation (Pickthall)

Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know.

Page 572

وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ لِاَمٰنٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رٰعُوۡنَۙ ۝٣٢

70:32And those who keep their pledges and their covenant,

وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ بِشَهٰدٰتِهِمۡ قَآٮِٕمُوۡنَ ۙ ۝٣٣

70:33And those who stand by their testimony

وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَلٰى صَلَاتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُوۡنَؕ ۝٣٤

70:34And those who are attentive at their worship.

اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ مُّكۡرَمُوۡنَؕ ۝٣٥

70:35These will dwell in Gardens, honoured.

فَمَالِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا قِبَلَكَ مُهۡطِعِيۡنَۙ ۝٣٦

70:36What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed,

عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِيۡنَ ۝٣٧

70:37On the right and on the left, in groups?

اَيَطۡمَعُ كُلُّ امۡرِىءٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ اَنۡ يُّدۡخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيۡمٍۙ ۝٣٨

70:38Doth every man among them hope to enter the Garden of Delight?

كَلَّا ؕ اِنَّا خَلَقۡنٰهُمۡ مِّمَّا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۝٣٩

70:39Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know.

فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِرَبِّ الۡمَشٰرِقِ وَالۡمَغٰرِبِ اِنَّا لَقٰدِرُوۡنَۙ ۝٤٠

70:40But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of the planets that We are Able

عَلٰٓى اَنۡ نُّبَدِّلَ خَيۡرًا مِّنۡهُمۡۙ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوۡقِيۡنَ ۝٤١

70:41To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun.

فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوۡضُوۡا وَيَلۡعَبُوۡا حَتّٰى يُلٰقُوۡا يَوۡمَهُمُ الَّذِىۡ يُوۡعَدُوۡنَۙ ۝٤٢

70:42So let them chat and play until they meet their Day which they are promised,

يَوۡمَ يَخۡرُجُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡاَجۡدَاثِ سِرَاعًا كَاَنَّهُمۡ اِلٰى نُصُبٍ يُّوۡفِضُوۡنَۙ ۝٤٣

70:43The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal,

خَاشِعَةً اَبۡصَارُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٌ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ الۡيَوۡمُ الَّذِىۡ كَانُوۡا يُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ۝٤٤

70:44With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised.

اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا اِلٰى قَوۡمِهٖۤ اَنۡ اَنۡذِرۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ۝١

71:1Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them.

قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۙ ۝٢

71:2He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you
