Surah Al-Waqia, Ayah 86 (56:86)
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ غَيۡرَ مَدِيۡنِيۡنَۙ ٨٦
English translation (Pickthall)
Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us),

اِنَّهٗ لَـقُرۡاٰنٌ كَرِيۡمٌۙ ٧٧
56:77That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an
فِىۡ كِتٰبٍ مَّكۡنُوۡنٍۙ ٧٨
56:78In a Book kept hidden
لَّا يَمَسُّهٗۤ اِلَّا الۡمُطَهَّرُوۡنَؕ ٧٩
56:79Which none toucheth save the purified,
تَنۡزِيۡلٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٨٠
56:80A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
اَفَبِهٰذَا الۡحَـدِيۡثِ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّدۡهِنُوۡنَۙ ٨١
56:81Is it this Statement that ye scorn,
وَتَجۡعَلُوۡنَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ اَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ٨٢
56:82And make denial thereof your livelihood?
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِذَا بَلَغَتِ الۡحُـلۡقُوۡمَۙ ٨٣
56:83Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying)
وَاَنۡتُمۡ حِيۡنَٮِٕذٍ تَـنۡظُرُوۡنَۙ ٨٤
56:84And ye are at that moment looking
وَنَحۡنُ اَقۡرَبُ اِلَيۡهِ مِنۡكُمۡ وَلٰـكِنۡ لَّا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ٨٥
56:85- And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not -
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ غَيۡرَ مَدِيۡنِيۡنَۙ ٨٦
56:86Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us),
تَرۡجِعُوۡنَهَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ ٨٧
56:87Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful?
فَاَمَّاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُقَرَّبِيۡنَۙ ٨٨
56:88Thus if he is of those brought nigh,
فَرَوۡحٌ وَّ رَيۡحَانٌࣙۙ وَّجَنَّتُ نَعِيۡمٍ ٨٩
56:89Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight.
وَاَمَّاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنۡ اَصۡحٰبِ الۡيَمِيۡنِۙ ٩٠
56:90And if he is of those on the right hand,
فَسَلٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنۡ اَصۡحٰبِ الۡيَمِيۡنِؕ ٩١
56:91Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand.
وَاَمَّاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَ الضَّآلِّيۡنَۙ ٩٢
56:92But if he is of the rejecters, the erring,
فَنُزُلٌ مِّنۡ حَمِيۡمٍۙ ٩٣
56:93Then the welcome will be boiling water
وَّتَصۡلِيَةُ جَحِيۡمٍ ٩٤
56:94And roasting at hell-fire.
اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الۡيَـقِيۡنِۚ ٩٥
56:95Lo! this is certain truth.
فَسَبِّحۡ بِاسۡمِ رَبِّكَ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ٩٦
56:96Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous.
سَبَّحَ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ وَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ١
57:1All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ يُحۡىٖ وَيُمِيۡتُۚ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ ٢
57:2His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; He quickeneth and He giveth death; and He is Able to do all things.
هُوَ الۡاَوَّلُ وَالۡاٰخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالۡبَاطِنُۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ ٣
57:3He is the First and the Last, and the Outward and the Inward; and He is Knower of all things.
