Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Ayah 51 (51:51)
وَلَا تَجۡعَلُوۡا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَؕ اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۚ ٥١
English translation (Pickthall)
And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him.
Page 524
وَلَا تَجۡعَلُوۡا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَؕ اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۚ ٥١
51:51And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him.
كَذٰ لِكَ مَاۤ اَتَى الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ مِّنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا قَالُوۡا سَاحِرٌ اَوۡ مَجۡنُوۡنٌۚ ٥٢
51:52Even so there came no messenger unto those before them but they said: A wizard or a madman!
اَتَوَاصَوۡا بِهٖۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ طَاغُوۡنَۚ ٥٣
51:53Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ بِمَلُوۡمٍ ٥٤
51:54So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy,
وَّذَكِّرۡ فَاِنَّ الذِّكۡرٰى تَنۡفَعُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٥٥
51:55And warn, for warning profiteth believers.
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُوۡنِ ٥٦
51:56I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.
مَاۤ اُرِيۡدُ مِنۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ رِّزۡقٍ وَّمَاۤ اُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ يُّطۡعِمُوۡنِ ٥٧
51:57I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me.
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الۡقُوَّةِ الۡمَتِيۡنُ ٥٨
51:58Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might.
فَاِنَّ لِلَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا ذَنُوۡبًا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوۡبِ اَصۡحٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنِ ٥٩
51:59And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day).
فَوَيۡلٌ لِّـلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ يَّوۡمِهِمُ الَّذِىۡ يُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ٦٠
51:60And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised.
وَالطُّوۡرِۙ ١
52:1By the Mount,
وَكِتٰبٍ مَّسۡطُوۡرٍۙ ٢
52:2And a Scripture inscribed
فِىۡ رَقٍّ مَّنۡشُوۡرٍۙ ٣
52:3On fine parchment unrolled,
وَالۡبَيۡتِ الۡمَعۡمُوۡرِۙ ٤
52:4And the House frequented,
وَالسَّقۡفِ الۡمَرۡفُوۡعِۙ ٥
52:5And the roof exalted,
وَالۡبَحۡرِ الۡمَسۡجُوۡرِۙ ٦
52:6And the sea kept filled,
اِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌۙ ٧
52:7Lo! the doom of thy Lord will surely come to pass;
مَّا لَهٗ مِنۡ دَافِعٍۙ ٨
52:8There is none that can ward it off.
يَّوۡمَ تَمُوۡرُ السَّمَآءُ مَوۡرًاۙ ٩
52:9On the day when the heaven will heave with (awful) heaving,
وَّتَسِيۡرُ الۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرًاؕ ١٠
52:10And the mountains move away with (awful) movement,
فَوَيۡلٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ لِّـلۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَۙ ١١
52:11Then woe that day unto the deniers
الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ فِىۡ خَوۡضٍ يَّلۡعَبُوۡنَۘ ١٢
52:12Who play in talk of grave matters;
يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّوۡنَ اِلٰى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّاؕ ١٣
52:13The day when they are thrust with a (disdainful) thrust, into the fire of hell
هٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِىۡ كُنۡتُمۡ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ١٤
52:14(And it is said unto them): This is the Fire which ye were wont to deny.
