Surah Qaf, Ayah 4 (50:4)
قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنۡقُصُ الۡاَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۚ وَعِنۡدَنَا كِتٰبٌ حَفِيۡظٌ ٤
English translation (Pickthall)
We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.

قٓ ۚ وَالۡقُرۡاٰنِ الۡمَجِيۡدِۚ ١
50:1Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an,
بَلۡ عَجِبُوۡۤا اَنۡ جَآءَهُمۡ مُّنۡذِرٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَقَالَ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ هٰذَا شَىۡءٌ عَجِيۡبٌۚ ٢
50:2Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:
ءَاِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًاۚ ذٰ لِكَ رَجۡعٌ ۢ بَعِيۡدٌ ٣
50:3When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return!
قَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا مَا تَنۡقُصُ الۡاَرۡضُ مِنۡهُمۡۚ وَعِنۡدَنَا كِتٰبٌ حَفِيۡظٌ ٤
50:4We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.
بَلۡ كَذَّبُوۡا بِالۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِىۡۤ اَمۡرٍ مَّرِيۡجٍ ٥
50:5Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.
اَفَلَمۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡۤا اِلَى السَّمَآءِ فَوۡقَهُمۡ كَيۡفَ بَنَيۡنٰهَا وَزَيَّـنّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنۡ فُرُوۡجٍ ٦
50:6Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?
وَالۡاَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنٰهَا وَاَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيۡهَا رَوَاسِىَ وَاَنۡۢبَتۡنَا فِيۡهَا مِنۡ كُلِّ زَوۡجٍۢ بَهِيۡجٍۙ ٧
50:7And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
تَبۡصِرَةً وَّذِكۡرٰى لِكُلِّ عَبۡدٍ مُّنِيۡبٍ ٨
50:8A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.
وَنَزَّلۡنَا مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً مُّبٰـرَكًا فَاَنۡۢبَـتۡـنَا بِهٖ جَنّٰتٍ وَّحَبَّ الۡحَصِيۡدِۙ ٩
50:9And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,
وَالنَّخۡلَ بٰسِقٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلۡـعٌ نَّضِيۡدٌۙ ١٠
50:10And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters,
رِّزۡقًا لِّلۡعِبَادِۙ وَاَحۡيَيۡنَا بِهٖ بَلۡدَةً مَّيۡـتًاؕ كَذٰ لِكَ الۡخُـرُوۡجُ ١١
50:11Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوۡحٍ وَّاَصۡحٰبُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُوۡدُۙ ١٢
50:12The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,
وَعَادٌ وَّفِرۡعَوۡنُ وَاِخۡوَانُ لُوۡطٍۙ ١٣
50:13And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,
وَّاَصۡحٰبُ الۡاَيۡكَةِ وَقَوۡمُ تُبَّعٍؕ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيۡدِ ١٤
50:14And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.
اَفَعَيِيۡنَا بِالۡخَـلۡقِ الۡاَوَّلِؕ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِىۡ لَبۡسٍ مِّنۡ خَلۡقٍ جَدِيۡدٍ ١٥
50:15Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
