Surah Qaf, Ayah 28 (50:28)
قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُوۡا لَدَىَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ اِلَيۡكُمۡ بِالۡوَعِيۡدِ ٢٨
English translation (Pickthall)
He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ وَنَعۡلَمُ مَا تُوَسۡوِسُ بِهٖ نَفۡسُهٗ ۖۚ وَنَحۡنُ اَقۡرَبُ اِلَيۡهِ مِنۡ حَبۡلِ الۡوَرِيۡدِ ١٦
50:16We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
اِذۡ يَتَلَقَّى الۡمُتَلَقِّيٰنِ عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيۡدٌ ١٧
50:17When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,
مَا يَلۡفِظُ مِنۡ قَوۡلٍ اِلَّا لَدَيۡهِ رَقِيۡبٌ عَتِيۡدٌ ١٨
50:18He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.
وَ جَآءَتۡ سَكۡرَةُ الۡمَوۡتِ بِالۡحَـقِّؕ ذٰ لِكَ مَا كُنۡتَ مِنۡهُ تَحِيۡدُ ١٩
50:19And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.
وَنُفِخَ فِى الصُّوۡرِؕ ذٰ لِكَ يَوۡمُ الۡوَعِيۡدِ ٢٠
50:20And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.
وَجَآءَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ مَّعَهَا سَآٮِٕقٌ وَّشَهِيۡدٌ ٢١
50:21And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness.
لَقَدۡ كُنۡتَ فِىۡ غَفۡلَةٍ مِّنۡ هٰذَا فَكَشَفۡنَا عَنۡكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الۡيَوۡمَ حَدِيۡدٌ ٢٢
50:22(And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.
وَقَالَ قَرِيۡـنُهٗ هٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيۡدٌؕ ٢٣
50:23And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).
اَلۡقِيَا فِىۡ جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيۡدٍۙ ٢٤
50:24(And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,
مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلۡخَيۡرِ مُعۡتَدٍ مُّرِيۡبِࣙۙ ٢٥
50:25Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,
الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ فَاَ لۡقِيٰهُ فِى الۡعَذَابِ الشَّدِيۡدِ ٢٦
50:26Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.
قَالَ قَرِيۡنُهٗ رَبَّنَا مَاۤ اَطۡغَيۡتُهٗ وَلٰـكِنۡ كَانَ فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍۢ بَعِيۡدٍ ٢٧
50:27His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error.
قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُوۡا لَدَىَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ اِلَيۡكُمۡ بِالۡوَعِيۡدِ ٢٨
50:28He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.
مَا يُبَدَّلُ الۡقَوۡلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَاۤ اَنَا بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلۡعَبِيۡدِ ٢٩
50:29The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves.
يَوۡمَ نَـقُوۡلُ لِجَهَـنَّمَ هَلِ امۡتَلَـئْتِ وَتَقُوۡلُ هَلۡ مِنۡ مَّزِيۡدٍ ٣٠
50:30On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled? and it saith: Can there be more to come?
وَاُزۡلِفَتِ الۡجَـنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ غَيۡرَ بَعِيۡدٍ ٣١
50:31And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant.
هٰذَا مَا تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ لِكُلِّ اَوَّابٍ حَفِيۡظٍۚ ٣٢
50:32(And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one,
مَنۡ خَشِىَ الرَّحۡمٰنَ بِالۡغَيۡبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلۡبٍ مُّنِيۡبِࣙۙ ٣٣
50:33Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart.
ادۡخُلُوۡهَا بِسَلٰمٍؕ ذٰ لِكَ يَوۡمُ الۡخُلُوۡدِ ٣٤
50:34Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.
