Surah As-Saaffat, Ayah 68 (37:68)
ثُمَّ اِنَّ مَرۡجِعَهُمۡ لَا۟اِلَى الۡجَحِيۡمِ ٦٨
English translation (Pickthall)
And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell.

وَلَوۡلَا نِعۡمَةُ رَبِّىۡ لَـكُنۡتُ مِنَ الۡمُحۡضَرِيۡنَ ٥٧
37:57And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom).
اَفَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَيِّتِيۡنَۙ ٥٨
37:58Are we then not to die
اِلَّا مَوۡتَتَـنَا الۡاُوۡلٰى وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِيۡنَ ٥٩
37:59Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished?
اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ ٦٠
37:60Lo! this is the supreme triumph.
لِمِثۡلِ هٰذَا فَلۡيَعۡمَلِ الۡعٰمِلُوۡنَ ٦١
37:61For the like of this, then, let the workers work.
اَذٰ لِكَ خَيۡرٌ نُّزُلًا اَمۡ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّوۡمِ ٦٢
37:62Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum?
اِنَّا جَعَلۡنٰهَا فِتۡنَةً لِّلظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ٦٣
37:63Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers.
اِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخۡرُجُ فِىۡۤ اَصۡلِ الۡجَحِيۡمِۙ ٦٤
37:64Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell.
طَلۡعُهَا كَاَنَّهٗ رُءُوۡسُ الشَّيٰطِيۡنِ ٦٥
37:65Its crop is as it were the heads of devils
فَاِنَّهُمۡ لَاٰكِلُوۡنَ مِنۡهَا فَمٰلِــُٔــوۡنَ مِنۡهَا الۡبُطُوۡنَؕ ٦٦
37:66And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith.
ثُمَّ اِنَّ لَهُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا لَشَوۡبًا مِّنۡ حَمِيۡمٍۚ ٦٧
37:67And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water
ثُمَّ اِنَّ مَرۡجِعَهُمۡ لَا۟اِلَى الۡجَحِيۡمِ ٦٨
37:68And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell.
اِنَّهُمۡ اَلۡفَوۡا اٰبَآءَهُمۡ ضَآلِّيۡنَۙ ٦٩
37:69They indeed found their fathers astray,
فَهُمۡ عَلٰٓى اٰثٰرِهِمۡ يُهۡرَعُوۡنَ ٧٠
37:70But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps.
وَلَـقَدۡ ضَلَّ قَبۡلَهُمۡ اَكۡثَرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَۙ ٧١
37:71And verily most of the men of old went astray before them,
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيۡهِمۡ مُّنۡذِرِيۡنَ ٧٢
37:72And verily We sent among them warners.
فَانْظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الۡمُنۡذَرِيۡنَۙ ٧٣
37:73Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned,
اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ ٧٤
37:74Save single-minded slaves of Allah.
وَلَقَدۡ نَادٰٮنَا نُوۡحٌ فَلَنِعۡمَ الۡمُجِيۡبُوۡنَۖ ٧٥
37:75And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer
وَنَجَّيۡنٰهُ وَاَهۡلَهٗ مِنَ الۡكَرۡبِ الۡعَظِيۡمِۖ ٧٦
37:76And We saved him and his household from the great distress,
وَجَعَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهٗ هُمُ الۡبٰقِيۡنَۖ ٧٧
37:77And made his seed the survivors,
وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِى الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَۖ ٧٨
37:78And left for him among the later folk (the salutation):
سَلٰمٌ عَلٰى نُوۡحٍ فِى الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٧٩
37:79Peace be unto Noah among the peoples!
اِنَّا كَذٰ لِكَ نَجۡزِى الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ ٨٠
37:80Lo! thus do We reward the good.
اِنَّهٗ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٨١
37:81Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves.
ثُمَّ اَغۡرَقۡنَا الۡاٰخَرِيۡنَ ٨٢
37:82Then We did drown the others.
