Surah Ya-Seen, Ayah 55 (36:55)
اِنَّ اَصۡحٰبَ الۡجَـنَّةِ الۡيَوۡمَ فِىۡ شُغُلٍ فٰكِهُوۡنَۚ ٥٥
English translation (Pickthall)
Lo! those who merit paradise this day are happily employed,

اِنۡ كَانَتۡ اِلَّا صَيۡحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمۡ جَمِيۡعٌ لَّدَيۡنَا مُحۡضَرُوۡنَ ٥٣
36:53It is but one Shout, and behold them brought together before Us!
فَالۡيَوۡمَ لَا تُظۡلَمُ نَفۡسٌ شَيۡـــًٔا وَّلَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٥٤
36:54This day no soul is wronged in aught; nor are ye requited aught save what ye used to do.
اِنَّ اَصۡحٰبَ الۡجَـنَّةِ الۡيَوۡمَ فِىۡ شُغُلٍ فٰكِهُوۡنَۚ ٥٥
36:55Lo! those who merit paradise this day are happily employed,
هُمۡ وَاَزۡوَاجُهُمۡ فِىۡ ظِلٰلٍ عَلَى الۡاَرَآٮِٕكِ مُتَّكِـــُٔوۡنَ ٥٦
36:56They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining;
لَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّلَهُمۡ مَّا يَدَّعُوۡنَ ۖۚ ٥٧
36:57Theirs the fruit (of their good deeds) and theirs (all) that they ask;
سَلٰمٌ قَوۡلًا مِّنۡ رَّبٍّ رَّحِيۡمٍ ٥٨
36:58The word from a Merciful Lord (for them) is: Peace!
وَامۡتَازُوا الۡيَوۡمَ اَيُّهَا الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ ٥٩
36:59But avaunt ye, O ye guilty, this day!
اَلَمۡ اَعۡهَدۡ اِلَيۡكُمۡ يٰبَنِىۡۤ اٰدَمَ اَنۡ لَّا تَعۡبُدُوا الشَّيۡطٰنَۚ اِنَّهٗ لَـكُمۡ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيۡنٌۙ ٦٠
36:60Did I not charge you, O ye sons of Adam, that ye worship not the devil - Lo! he is your open foe! -
وَّاَنِ اعۡبُدُوۡنِىۡ ؔؕ هٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٌ ٦١
36:61But that ye worship Me? That was the right path.
وَلَقَدۡ اَضَلَّ مِنۡكُمۡ جِبِلًّا كَثِيۡرًاؕ اَفَلَمۡ تَكُوۡنُوۡا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٦٢
36:62Yet he hath led astray of you a great multitude. Had ye then no sense?
هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِىۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ٦٣
36:63This is hell which ye were promised (if ye followed him).
اِصۡلَوۡهَا الۡيَوۡمَ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُوۡنَ ٦٤
36:64Burn therein this day for that ye disbelieved.
اَلۡيَوۡمَ نَخۡتِمُ عَلٰٓى اَفۡوَاهِهِمۡ وَتُكَلِّمُنَاۤ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَتَشۡهَدُ اَرۡجُلُهُمۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ ٦٥
36:65This day We seal up their mouths, and their hands speak out to Us and their feet bear witness as to what they used to earn.
وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَـطَمَسۡنَا عَلٰٓى اَعۡيُنِهِمۡ فَاسۡتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَاَنّٰى يُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ٦٦
36:66And had We willed, We verily could have quenched their eyesight so that they should struggle for the way. Then how could they have seen?
وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخۡنٰهُمۡ عَلٰى مَكَانَتِهِمۡ فَمَا اسۡتَطَاعُوۡا مُضِيًّا وَّلَا يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ ٦٧
36:67And had We willed, We verily could have fixed them in their place, making them powerless to go forward or turn back.
وَمَنۡ نُّعَمِّرۡهُ نُـنَكِّسۡهُ فِى الۡخَـلۡقِؕ اَفَلَا يَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٦٨
36:68He whom we bring unto old age, We reverse him in creation (making him go back to weakness after strength). Have ye then no sense?
وَمَا عَلَّمۡنٰهُ الشِّعۡرَ وَمَا يَنۡۢبَغِىۡ لَهٗؕ اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٌ وَّقُرۡاٰنٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۙ ٦٩
36:69And We have not taught him (Muhammad) poetry, nor is it meet for him. This is naught else than a Reminder and a Lecture making plain,
لِّيُنۡذِرَ مَنۡ كَانَ حَيًّا وَّيَحِقَّ الۡقَوۡلُ عَلَى الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ ٧٠
36:70To warn whosoever liveth, and that the word may be fulfilled against the disbelievers.
