Surah Al-Shuara, Ayah 168 (26:168)
قَالَ اِنِّىۡ لِعَمَلِكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡقَالِيۡنَؕ ١٦٨
English translation (Pickthall)
He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct.

قَالُوۡا لَٮِٕنۡ لَّمۡ تَنۡتَهِ يٰلُوۡطُ لَـتَكُوۡنَنَّ مِنَ الۡمُخۡرَجِيۡنَ ١٦٧
26:167They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast.
قَالَ اِنِّىۡ لِعَمَلِكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡقَالِيۡنَؕ ١٦٨
26:168He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct.
رَبِّ نَجِّنِىۡ وَاَهۡلِىۡ مِمَّا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ١٦٩
26:169My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do.
فَنَجَّيۡنٰهُ وَ اَهۡلَهٗۤ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَۙ ١٧٠
26:170So We saved him and his household, every one,
اِلَّا عَجُوۡزًا فِى الۡغٰبِرِيۡنَۚ ١٧١
26:171Save an old woman among those who stayed behind.
ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا الۡاٰخَرِيۡنَۚ ١٧٢
26:172Then afterward We destroyed the others.
وَاَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مَّطَرًاۚ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ الۡمُنۡذَرِيۡنَ ١٧٣
26:173And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned.
اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰ لِكَ لَاٰيَةً ؕ وَمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ١٧٤
26:174Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers.
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ١٧٥
26:175And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful.
كَذَّبَ اَصۡحٰبُ لْئَيۡكَةِ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ ۖۚ ١٧٦
26:176The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah),
اِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَيۡبٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَۚ ١٧٧
26:177When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)?
اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌۙ ١٧٨
26:178Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you,
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِۚ ١٧٩
26:179So keep your duty to Allah and obey me.
وَمَاۤ اَسۡـَٔـــلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ اَجۡرٍۚ اِنۡ اَجۡرِىَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَؕ ١٨٠
26:180And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds.
اَوۡفُوا الۡـكَيۡلَ وَلَا تَكُوۡنُوۡا مِنَ الۡمُخۡسِرِيۡنَۚ ١٨١
26:181Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due).
وَزِنُوۡا بِالۡقِسۡطَاسِ الۡمُسۡتَقِيۡمِۚ ١٨٢
26:182And weigh with the true balance.
وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِيۡنَۚ ١٨٣
26:183Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth.
وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَالۡجِـبِلَّةَ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَؕ ١٨٤
26:184And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old.
قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مِنَ الۡمُسَحَّرِيۡنَۙ ١٨٥
26:185They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched;
وَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُـنَا وَاِنۡ نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الۡكٰذِبِيۡنَۚ ١٨٦
26:186Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars.
فَاَسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَؕ ١٨٧
26:187Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful.
قَالَ رَبِّىۡۤ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ١٨٨
26:188He said: My Lord is best aware of what ye do.
فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمِ الظُّلَّةِؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍ ١٨٩
26:189But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day.
