Surah An-Nahl, Ayah 78 (16:78)
وَاللّٰهُ اَخۡرَجَكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بُطُوۡنِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ شَيۡـــًٔا ۙ وَّ جَعَلَ لَـكُمُ السَّمۡعَ وَالۡاَبۡصٰرَ وَالۡاَفۡـِٕدَةَ ۙ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ٧٨
English translation (Pickthall)
And Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers knowing nothing, and gave you hearing and sight and hearts that haply ye might give thanks.
Page 276
وَيَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَمۡلِكُ لَهُمۡ رِزۡقًا مِّنَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ شَيۡــًٔا وَّلَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَۚ ٧٣
16:73And they worship beside Allah that which owneth no provision whatsoever for them from the heavens or the earth, nor have they (whom they worship) any power.
فَلَا تَضۡرِبُوۡا لِلّٰهِ الۡاَمۡثَالَؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعۡلَمُ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٧٤
16:74So coin not similitudes for Allah. Lo! Allah knoweth; ye know not.
ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا عَبۡدًا مَّمۡلُوۡكًا لَّا يَقۡدِرُ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ وَّمَنۡ رَّزَقۡنٰهُ مِنَّا رِزۡقًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ يُنۡفِقُ مِنۡهُ سِرًّا وَّجَهۡرًاؕ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوٗنَؕ اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِؕ بَلۡ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٧٥
16:75Allah coineth a similitude: (on the one hand) a (mere) chattel slave, who hath control of nothing, and (on the other hand) one on whom we have bestowed a fair provision from Us, and he spendeth thereof secretly and openly. Are they equal? Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not.
وَضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلاً رَّجُلَيۡنِ اَحَدُهُمَاۤ اَبۡكَمُ لَا يَقۡدِرُ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ وَّهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلٰى مَوۡلٰٮهُۙ اَيۡنَمَا يُوَجِّهۡهُّ لَا يَاۡتِ بِخَيۡرٍؕ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِىۡ هُوَۙ وَمَنۡ يَّاۡمُرُ بِالۡعَدۡلِۙ وَهُوَ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ٧٦
16:76And Allah coineth a similitude: Two men, one of them dumb, having control of nothing, and he is a burden on his owner; whithersoever he directeth him to go, he bringeth no good. Is he equal with one who enjoineth justice and followeth a straight path (of conduct)?
وَلِلّٰهِ غَيۡبُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ وَمَاۤ اَمۡرُ السَّاعَةِ اِلَّا كَلَمۡحِ الۡبَصَرِ اَوۡ هُوَ اَقۡرَبُؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ ٧٧
16:77And unto Allah belongeth the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, and the matter of the Hour (of Doom) is but as a twinkling of the eye, or it is nearer still. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.
وَاللّٰهُ اَخۡرَجَكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بُطُوۡنِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ شَيۡـــًٔا ۙ وَّ جَعَلَ لَـكُمُ السَّمۡعَ وَالۡاَبۡصٰرَ وَالۡاَفۡـِٕدَةَ ۙ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ٧٨

اَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اِلَى الطَّيۡرِ مُسَخَّرٰتٍ فِىۡ جَوِّ السَّمَآءِؕ مَا يُمۡسِكُهُنَّ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰ لِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٧٩
16:79Have they not seen the birds obedient in mid-air? None holdeth them save Allah. Lo! herein, verily, are portents for a people who believe.
