Surah At-Takathur (التّکاثُر)
Surah At-Takathur (التّکاثُر, “The Rivalry in Worldly Increase”) is chapter 102 of the Quran, a Meccan surah with 8 ayat in Juz 30. Read online with translation and audio.
Ayat 1–8
اَلۡهٰٮكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ ١
102:1Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you
حَتّٰى زُرۡتُمُ الۡمَقَابِرَؕ ٢
102:2Until ye come to the graves.
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَۙ ٣
102:3Nay, but ye will come to know!
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَؕ ٤
102:4Nay, but ye will come to know!
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ عِلۡمَ الۡيَقِيۡنِؕ ٥
102:5Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge!
لَتَرَوُنَّ الۡجَحِيۡمَۙ ٦
102:6For ye will behold hell-fire.
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ الۡيَقِيۡنِۙ ٧
102:7Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision.
ثُمَّ لَـتُسۡـَٔـلُنَّ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيۡمِ ٨
102:8Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure.
